Keep in mind when you look at the caucus results, the numbers you are looking at are registered Republicans voting only - If the GOP wants to win the General Election in November they will need to go with a popular candidate that has the broadest appeal.
That candidate is Dr. Ron Paul. Ron Paul will bring in the First-time voter (young voters), the Military votes, Independents, and true Libertarians and Conservatives. Democrats are on the fence believing, with Ron Paul as the GOP nominee, that the GOP may have a real shot at taking the White House.
Santorum would be the kiss of death for the party as it will be government under the cross, overstepping the boundaries of separation from Church and State.
Otherwise it is Obama's Re-election 2012 - being that the other candidates sound like they're off to business as usual.
Dr. Paul is a stick Constitutionalist who has been gathering mass appeal across the board; he will not be pandered or influenced by the Mainstream Media, Big-Box Corporations, or Special Interest groups. Ron Paul is the GOP's only shot at winning in November and claiming the White House in the 2012 election.
